Well, it took me a few months, but I’ve finally finished my crocheted Care Bear blanket pattern. I’ve started crocheting it, but with all the color changing I have to do, it’s going to take me a while.
Here’s the image I’m using for my pattern:
Personally, I think it would have looked better with a WHITE background, but Amber wants it on red…red’s her favorite color, and it’s going to be her blanket, so red it is. Of course, the colors on the blanket itself will be different than the picture, but I hope it comes out good. For example, the letters in the words “Care Bears” are outlined in lavender, and the inside of the letters will be the same color as the background…yep, you guessed it: RED.
So, I’ve got in my mind the bright red background, lavender letters, pink carebear and pink stars…oh yeah, and the pink numbers…I hope the red & pink work well together!
Anyway, if y’all are interested, I will post the pattern out here for free so y’all can try it out. If I post it now, it will be untested so to speak, so I can’t speak for its accuracy. However, if I wait to post the free crochet pattern until after I’m done crocheting Amber’s blanket, then I can post the pattern AND a picture of what it looks like finished. Of course, at the rate I’m going, that will be a few months…:-) Sadly I don’t have enough time for my crafts!
What do y’all think? Post now, or wait until I finish crocheting the Care Bear blanket?
